I was just wondering if I am considered a "late bloomer" cuz I have never had a boyfriend yet and I am 14. I have always had boys that I have liked but never went out with them. If not what is the age that is considered a "late bloomer" when it comes to never having a boyfriend. I am just not into dating someone for a day, I rather wait until I get in High School when the relationships last......is this normal???

no you are not. You're only 14, that's very young. many people don't date till their junior or senior year. Besides you should focus on school for now

No, that doesn't make you a late bloomer. You'd be a late bloomer if you had no breasts and your periods hadn't started by the time you were seventeen -- it's a description of physical maturing at a later-than-normal age.

Keep on good terms with boys, but wait as long as it takes for someone special to appear on the scene. And if you're an open and friendly person, he will.

Relationships "last" in high school? lol
No, you're not a late bloomer at all. I'm 19, turning 20 in a few months, but I have never had a boyfriend. I know someone who is 26 and hasn't even been kissed. It's better to wait and find a good person to date, than to just date anyone so everyone will think that you're cool.

don't worry you're not a late bloomer everyone begins dating at different ages and i think waiting till high school is a wise choice. My first boyfriend was at the end of 4th grade so as you can see everybody starts dating at different ages. It's good to wait, and there really is no such thing as a late bloomer when it comes to dating

No not at all. I was considered a late bloomer, because I didn't start dating girls till I was 16 or so. And I waited. In allot of ways I respect that. It gives you the chance to have fun with people without having to get to hot and heavy. I would say that you are pacing yourself, and good on ya for it. And as a thought about high school, just pace yourself there too. Don't be in a rush to get with a guy. Have fun. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Not a late bloomer at all. Actual one-on-one dating shouldn't begin before age 16 anyway...some interest in guys at your age is normal, but if you don't want a boyfriend then it doesn't make you a "late bloomer" to desire to skip that option. It's just a personal choice.

Socially speaking not having a boyfriend in your freshman year of high school is hardly a late bloomer. There are plenty more important things to concern yourself with, even in high school. The last thing you want to learn certain matters from is some fumbling neophyte high school kid - males mature significantly later than females, if at all, emotionally speaking. (Males that do reach emotional maturity generally don't do so until they start having to actually support thier own existence.)

Absolutely not! At this age everyone is stumbling around clueless. It sounds to me as if you just have other priorities that are more important . This is actually smart. You will have the next 60 years of your life to date.

As far as relationships lasting in high school goes. The odds are about 100,000 to 1 that a relationship will last past high school. Explore more , so that you know what you want.

No, you are not a late bloomer...
At 17 or 18 you can start feeling like a late bloomer..
You should not have a "steady b/f" until you are at least 16...

The term late bloomer is used in the sence of your growth. Your bra size...things of that nature. I do think it is normal to want to wait for a guy who is not jumping from girl to girl. That is your sence of maturity coming out. You sound like a smart girl.

I'm 15 and right now im only with my 2nd girlfriend. I got my first girlfriend when i was 13, and it didn't work out. You can wait until high-school if you want. I waited and my girl and i have been going out for 3 months. It's just whenever you think you want to be with a guy. Good luck! im sure u'll pick the perfect guy.
