I have thick curly, blond hair. I use a leave in conditioner, and I use gel, no mousse, it's not very manageable. And I finish with a spray gel or a mist hair spray....As for an up-do....I would do a french twist with a few curls, and use a smoothing balm for shine and smoothness of course.

u can straighten it, unless it like really really curly (ex. corbin blue) or if it is like really really curly u can just leave it down, or 2 ponlytails
