I used it for many years until it sort of wore off and I switched. But it was GREAT for about 10-12 years. If my house caught on fire, one thing I'd go back in for was my Zoloft!!! Really helped my depression. Give it a few weeks to take affect. Then as you determine if it is helping, keep your doctor posted. Some people need as little as 50 mg, others need 200 mg. You have to play around with dosage a little. But it IS a good medicine and hopefully will help you. Good luck!!

I've been on it for about 3 years. It's really great. I, and others around me, call definitely tell a difference in my mood if I miss a dose or 2 of it. I think it's great anti depressant. Give it a couple weeks to kick in and for your side effects to stop and you should like it. Just make sure that if you start feeling bad again to tell your doctor and get the dosage upped. Good luck.

I took it briefly and it could make some of your symptoms worse as a side effect, so make sure you read the paper that will come with it for all the precautions.

I am no longer on it and would ask to be given something else if I chose to take anti-depressants again.

Do what you feel is best for YOU and if you have any doubts, talk to you doctor about it before starting any drugs. It is their job as your doctor to tell you the pros and cons of anything they write for you.

Feeling extraordinary, loopy such as you're loosing your ideas feels like rigidity. rigidity is an element result from anti depressants. if so there are Anti rigidity pills you may take alongside with zoloft to make the rigidity lesson or bypass away.

It will take a bit if time to work and make sure they bring your dose up slowly as to avoid side effects. Seems to be tolerated pretty well by most people. my partner takes it, as I said the only problem is it is a bit slow to work.
