i have had a sore neck for a few days and the doctor told me what it is but i cannot remember the word. I have a viral infection and it begins with R? Can anyone think of the word?

Hmmm...that's tricky! Was it rhinovirus? Thats pretty much the common cold but you get fever/chills and stiffness in neck and arms (or whole body if unlucky)...tell the prat not to talk in jargon 'cause is neither big nor clever when you have concerned patient...get well soon

He possibly said wry neck aka torticollis - a stiff neck you wake up with usually (I said neck boys) - not related to virus as far as I know so maybe it's something else.

Try heat, massage oil and support with pillows.
