I want to become a Marine Officer (Infantry) while going through college. I know, now at least, that you have to go to Annapolis w/ the Navy guys. But if you go to Annapolis, trying to be a Marine, is there a way you'll get stuck in the Navy?

Also, same question w/ NROTC?

There are several ways to become a Marine officer. The first way is go to collage and do the NROTC program, the second way is to join as reserve or active duty and do the MECEP which means you start as enlisted and then get a commission, and the third way is to go enlisted reserve or active duty then submit a Warrant Officer package. I hope that helps and good luck.

You don't have to go Annapolis, any accredited college ROTC would be good. The you have to qualify for Officer Candidate School (OTC). But if you do go to Annapolis you get to choose what you'll do based on your abilities and preferences.

You can go to any 4 year college, earn your degree, and, after some intense training, you will be commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the Marine Corps.
