im 21 years old and in good heath... the lipoma is on my right bicep

Probably not much danger at all. It may be sore for a couple of days, depending on how long the incision is. The surgery will probalby leave a scar -- but if you're considering surgery, the scar will probably be less noticeable than the lipoma.

Given the location, it probably can be done in your doctor's office with a local anaesthetic.

If it is lipoma no problem. It's advisable to remove it completely to prevent future complication, e.g bleeding and changing into cancer, in rare occasion.
YOUR SURGEON IS A GOOD ONE.
