I think the main reason why many of you Atheists respond to Christians in a bad way is because some of them say that if you're not a Christian and don't believe in Jesus then you'll burn for eternity! right??

Muslims and Jews don't bother me, because for the most part, they don't do that whole fire and brimstone routine. There is nothing I hate more than some smug Christian telling me "You'll see when you face God" or telling another Christian something like "They say that because they have no purpose in life." Muslims and Jews show a modicum of respect and are less judgmental, so I treat them that way in turn.

Christens have enough hate for Muslims and Jews. Atheists don't need to get at them too. Many Atheists are like me they were former Christians and know the Christian Holy Bible pretty well and all those other religions are so minor it descent really matter anyway. 32% of the world population is Christian. Only 17% are Muslim Need you ask why we seldom bother with them? BB

Although I'm not an atheist this is what I've always thought:
Maybe because Christianity is the one that likes to take all the snipes at science, claims people who don't follow it will burn in Hell forever and uses this to create fear, you know, that type of stuff? This might also be what causes some people to become atheists in the first place, they get fed up with mainstream religion and it's attitudes, so they decide to just diss all religion. Christianity seems to be the most vocal religion in this respect.

I wonder how you reached the conclusion that atheist answers target Christians. It is possible that most of the questions asked of atheists are from Christians, and therefore are asked in ways that refer to particularly Christian beliefs, but atheists do not disbelieve only in the God worshipped by Christians, but disbelieve in the idea of any supreme being, of whatever sect, denomination or creed.

Many atheists on this sight are probably American so their exposure to religion is predominantly to that of Christianity. We probably have more in depth knowledge of that religion because of the overwhelming exposure to its people if not personal exposure to the belief system. I generally like to keep my questions fairly general, but I must note that most of the pointed questions at atheists do come from Christians.

Because Christian is the only groups that force you to say something about them and they will force their religion on other
as the Jews will not do this if you want to know about them they will tell you as so the Muslim and other Christian groups

Neither Muslims nor Jews make the laws in the country in which I live. Same reason I don't complain about lizards. I live in the midwest, US, I don't have a lizard problem. If I lived in Texas it might be a different story. If I lived in Israel I might complain about Jews making the laws that govern me, if I lived in Saudi Arabia I would probably make the same complaint about Muslims. It all depends on whether or not they want *their* beliefs to control *me*.

Judaism gets it too, sometimes Christians mistake attacks against both Christians and Jews as attacks on Christians. When we question God we are not only questioning the Christian Jesus but also Yahweh/Allah.

There are more Christians and more Americans on here right now. Don't think by not saying anything about your religion that I am in any way endorsing it, you just happen to be in fewer numbers on here and as I am an American, you are less of a threat to me.
