My dog does that all the time.... It doens't always mean it's time for a walk.... Dogs aren't that smart to understand what shoes mean, unless you train them to. He probably is just being cute or wants attention. My dog always brings me my pillow, or my socks, but that doesn't mean he wants me to sleep or put on socks. One thing you have to realize about dogs is that they are more simple than you think.
