But I feel like I can't because I mocked him a lot...

Is it possible for me to look at him and accept him? But I still don't like the way most Christians use his name...

When the soldiers had beaten him, mocked him, spit on him, scourged him, and nailed him to the cross, he said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." When people mock Jesus it's because they have never truly known who he is. He is willing that all come to the Father through him. He has mercy and forgiveness for you, it's never too late.

Thats terrific! You come from a position of humility, which is more than I feel is true about most people who call them self Christians. And be aware that nothing has changed since Jesus gathered his initial followers, the 12 disciples. Jesus's request was a simple; follow me. No explanation offered, or given. And I'm afraid too that, that point is lost on most "Christians". Jesus doesn't want people to just accept him, but to follow him. Obviously, we can't literally follow him like his 12 disciples did. Still, if we truly want to be Christians we must become followers of Jesus. And not only figuratively speaking, but demonstrate in our life and with actions that we are not all talk.

As far as you mocking, first your sins will be forgiven once you accept Him and you will be a new creation, cleansed from all your sins. Yes, including mocking Him b/c you did it with ignorance (prior to knowing Him as your Savior).

As for your statement regarding other Christians, keep your eyes fixed on Christ and don't worry about anyone else. Hebrews 12:1-2 states: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith."

Pray for guidance, find a good Bible-believing, Bible-preaching and Spirit-filled church. God also said: "And you will find me when you seek me with all your heart".

Blessings to you!

There were many even back in His times that mocked Him and then accepted Him. Paul is probably the most famous mocker. He even led in the slaughter of Christians before He saw Jesus and changed his belief in Him. Yes, you can accept Him even if you have mocked Him. If you repent and ask forgiveness, you will be forgiven.

Have you ever read the story of Paul? It's in Acts 9. The basics are that a man named Saul used to hunt down followers of Christ and have them put to death. As he was on his way to Demascus God spoke to him, puting scales over his eyes. God told him to go to a certain disciple. Saul did, and to make a long story short Saul's name was soon changed to Paul, the same man who wrote a lot of the letters in the new testament.
So, you see, no matter how much you mocked him, you still aren't like Saul. God won't tell you no.

And about how you don't like the way most Christians use his name, then don't do it. Maybe they/we will learn from you. God Bless. <><

Conversion experiences are difficult to understand, to say the least. If you mocked the belief system you are converting to you may want to carefully consider what those you will have fellowship may think. Do they know, did you tell them? Will they be genuinely happy or will they gloat?

It is possible for you to convert. From what I hear Jesus will forgive anything, if you are honest.

If you don't like the way "most" christians use his name, you should see what non-believers might say (especially former believers).

Whatever you decide, please be the kind of christian that does not crusade against the non-belivers. Remember you may attract more bees with honey than with vinegar. Good luck.

The bible says that God forgives you. No matter what you may have done to Jesus, he still loves you. Even though you might have mocked him, even during those times, he always loved you. All you have to do is ask for forgiveness of the things he has done. He forgave everyone of their sins no matter what they were. you are right also. A lot of christians still use his name in vain and this is against the ten commandments. Just ask them not to do it around you. You can always rely on Jesus and no matter what you do he will always be there by your side. He helps you get through anything. If you want to be a Christian, Just confess with your mouth that you have sinned, and believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Believe me, after becoming a Christian, life is so easy. Good Luck! Hope I have helped!

Turn to Jesus, and tell Him that you are a sinner, and ask Him for His forgivness for them. Tell Him that you accept Him as your personal savior, and acknowledge that He is the Son of God who took your place on the cross, and invite Him to live inside your heart, and He will accept that invitatioin. He will also forgive you of your sins as well.

Then go and walk away from any former lifestyle that may be sinful, and not one that a New born again Chrsitian would be living. Study your Bible daily and pray to the Lord, thanking Him for the gift of Salvation, and live the best life you can with Jesus leading you.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Through your accepting Jesus as your personal Savior, you have been born agian! Praise the Lord!
