I in love with a vietnames boy who is a nerd. He is very school oriented and and is really smart. Me and he aren't even going out but i really like him and I think that he like me too. He always try to ask me for help with math and science questions which I know for a fact that he already understands. He tries using any reason to talk to me. The thing is that I'm really popular and stuff and I think that my friends will give me a hard time if they knew that I liked him. Someone please help me.

If you like him then why care what other people think of you? Why go under the influence of peer pressure when you want to date someone you are interested in?

I find your situation interesting because you classify an 'asian' as a 'nerd' which is a very common stereotype but not true. Everytime someone brings this up or makes remarks about other races... then that tells you about your insecurities as well as theirs.

Black, white, mexican, indian, native american, asian, middle eastern, european, spanish, cuban, australian, and many other races stereotype themselves to degrade or glamorize their images. And what have you learn? Neither are true but when people are degraded so low... it hurts their self-esteem.

So think about it... don't let stereotypes or peer pressure control the kind of people you date. You need to learn to grow out of it.

Think about it.

Um why are you so worried about what your friends think, it's about how you feel and how he makes you feel. He may be nerdy to you and your friends but nerds end up making that $$$ and being success full in the future so the ?? is are you good enough for him. Plus good friends support you in everything you do

Well.. give the guy a chance... So what if your friends make fun of you..? If you're attracted, you're attracted... attraction is not a choice.. do what feels right to you.
