I could not imagine the horrendous pain that would cause, my heart goes out to you, on the other hand there must be a reason for them being taken from you. Maybe try to rectify that situation, learn how to be the best parent you possibly can be and there might be some hope.

Just so you know I was on the other side of this table before. I adopted my niece. That said... There is probably no way to get them back if your rights were terminated but your children most assuredly will look for you one day. You cannot change a single thing that has happened to put yourself in this situation BUT you can change what direction you head from here. One day they will find you. Who do you want them to find? Do you want them to be proud of how you changed your life around? They will be hurt. They will have questions. Hopefully, you will be in a place that you can answer truthfully and move forward. You are at a crossroad! Which way will you go? Pray for guidance. The Bible says "seek and ye shall find". You can find your way. You can change your life... one decision at a time. Starting right now. Don't sit in self pity for long. It's only natural for you too feel like the wind is knocked out of you, but for your children's sake start breathing again and soon. Focus on that. Love your children and pray for them daily. Love yourself. Forgive yourself. Take care of yourself. Talk to God.

If your parental rights have been terminated, there is nothing you can do, other than appeal the termination. If you still have your parental rights in tact, but they are currently in the states custody, you need to contact your social worker regarding visitation. If there is not a judge's order prohibiting visits, they will set them up. If there is one, you will simply need to attend your next court hearing. If you have gone through termination, though, short of an appeal, which must be filed within so many days, you can't see them again until they're 18. The only other possibility is an open adoption.

I'm very sorry for you and I can 'read' your pain. Not knowing the specifics of why you lost them and your parental rights, nor their ages, it's hard to comment. If they are old enough to hold you in memory it will be easier...if not then you can only wait until they reach the age of consent and then attempt to contact them through one of the services that does that and hope they will also wish to see you again.
In the meantime you MUST move on and try to re-engage yourself in living - try to take a honest and inward look at 'self' to see where you may have misstepped and learn from it.
Being the best person you know how to be will in the long run be beneficial for you and for them.
Be grateful they will have a loving family. God Bless you.

you don't say what the circumstances are surrounding your seperation but if you really want to be in their lives then DONT give up!! if you haven't done so, get yourself a good solicitor. ring up directories and get the phone number for legal aid family solicitors in your area. FIGHT for your kids! thats what i would do whether i was mum or dad and as you say they haven't been adopted yet, there may still be a chance. again it would prob depend on the circumstances why they were taken. GOOD LUCK!!

I can give you some helpful telephone numbers and websites but first I need to know somethings..
1. What state do you live in?
2. Do you want custody?
3. Do you want visitation?
Let me know and I can help you.

my brother and sister-in-law are in the same boat as you. they lost their rights due to my sister going to court and lying through her teeth. i've read some of the suggestions already here and maybe you should try some of them. definitely get a lawyer and do not let them give up.
good luck to you.

well you must have done something pretty bad for the kids to be taken from you.....I think that you should leave them alone and pray that they are being adopted by a good family and that they will remain together.....we all make mistakes and we have to live with the consequences...good luck to you....
