I guess it really depends on how long you were with her, and the experiences shared. I was with my ex for about 2 years, and one day she decided to end it. It took me a little while, she was my first love, so that adds a little more time to get over it. You should get involved with some sort of activity to get your mind off of things. I am not sure if you ever will forget, but time will heal, so hold on, keep your head up, and you will be fine.

This is cute. You sure you miss her and not just the good times you had? Be sure of this first. Next: work out why you split, if this means calling her and talking about it then do so but she may play hard to get after you told her not to get in touch.
You'll have to do some talking and thinking if you're going to go for it again. Just try to be clear about what the problem was in the first place and if it means somethings gotta change then try and manage that in a loving way.
Good luck fella

You know sometimes the ego doesn't like it when its dumped by text so it dwells on that person who was nasty to it and makes the heart think its love. Use the head instead. Get busy, fill your diary up and forget that nasty person. You deserve better and your ego will be filled with joy when you meet someone else. Not to say your ego wont dwell on Miss Nasty sometimes. Its a challenge when someone doesn't like ego and ego always wants to know why - sometimes the answer just aint worth the effort!

OMG I think that is the sweetest thing to say. I know how you feel. my boyfriend and i just broke up and him and i are just missing eachother and we still love eachother and i want him back so bad but i dont know what he wants. I am telling you from a girl's point of view you are truly in love and i hope my x feels the same way about me. Its hard to find good people to love so i say tell her you want her back. Make it work relationships arent easy but if you truly love someone you work it out together.

It varies from person to person. So just chill and wait until you can think clearly. Your emotions are probably all over the place right now. So just let time do it's thing.

Maybe you should try talking to her. At the very least you can try to get some closure. As for getting over this - that depends, some wounds take awhile to heal.
