I'm 25. My husband is 32. So I've always listened to southern gospel with him. Groups like the Gaithers, Howard & Vestal Goodman, the Crabb family, etc. They are all great...don't get me wrong. I love them. But where I moved, our radio station doesn't pick that up. Instead, it's contemparary - Jeremy Camp, Third Day, etc. I like SOME of it. The stuff that isn't too hard and still has praise / worship / message. For instance, my husband bought me the new "Lifesong" CD by Casting Crowns. I LOVE IT!!!! Just need more ideas. Especially specific songs. I'm not particularly crazy about like Jars of Clay. The sound of their music is great, but I'm not crazy about the words. Any ideas??? (PLEASE ONLY CHRISTIAN ANSWERS)

if you want to go way old school, you could check out Jesus Freak (by DC Talk). If you like gospel, try MaryMary and their song shackles. It's really good. If you just want contemporary, try basically anything by Joy Williams, Far From Home (better known as FFH). If you want rock, try BarlowGirl and their song Never Alone, or almost any Superchic[k] song, but especially their songs Pure Flow and Beauty from Pain. It is all really good music. I hope this helps. <><

Here is a list of a few songs I have played recently that I liked, and that I don't think are that hard:

Shout to the Lord
Worthy is the Lamb
Our God is an Awesome God
Days of Elijah
Here I am to Worship
How lovely on the Mountains are the Feet of Him...
In Christ Alone
There is Joy in the Lord
We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise
Hosanna (there are a few great songs with this title!)
The Heart of Worship
The Potter's Hand
Much of You
Shout to the North

Please email me if you would like more! Praise God!

Hi, my name is Christian so here goes:
1. One Love, from Bob Marley & the Wailers. If you can get past the stereotypes, you will here some inspirational words about the power of God's love.
2. Matisyahu -- King without a Crown. This song is by a Hassidic Jew, singing about how people need God in their lives. The same God you worship, BTW.
4. Creed -- Let me take you higher.

The 3 is missing, just like the trinity is missing in your heart. If you can't find the spirit in music that isn't labeled, the spirit of love that Jesus had for all people has never found its way into your heart. Find the love and beauty in all things.

Peace.

I know what you're saying, it's so hard to find Christian music that means something specifically to you. I love the Michael W Smith Worship & Worship Again albums, a lot of the Delerious albums are good especially their latest....can't think of the name of it right this minute but if you google their website you'll find it. Australia's Hillsong is really good for praise & worship stuff. Matt Redman is good too
Hope it helps. Bless you

I am a christian as well, and I know so many Christian songs that it is hard to remember them. I good one is Only Hope by Mandy Moore. This song has a really good message. Another really good song is Readeemer. I am not quite sure who this is by, but it is a very pretty song and has a wonderful message. God of Wonders is a really good song. Here is a list of a few more songs that I know.

I can only Imagine(not quite sure on the artist)
Open the eyes of my Heart
Here I am to Worship
Now is the time to Worship
Lord I lift your name on High

I know a few more, but it is sort of hard to think of them right off the top of my head. The songs above are really good songs. I could listen to them a lot. Well hope i helped. Good luck with more answers!

God Bless!
