If one were to work their backsides off to right a wrong that they did, would they get those certain things back to them like the ability to sing when at one time they swore to never sing again.

Yep, in Job's case he gave, he took away, then he gave back in abundance.

Now as for working your backside off to "right your wrong," that might be where you're really going wrong.

Jesus paid our price on the cross. All you need to do is repent (turn) from your sin and believe in his blood and that God's grace is sufficient to cover your wrongs.

Will he restore your voice? Maybe. If he doesn't, it's because he has a bigger plan.

Let yourself off the hook. Quit paying a price that Jesus already paid and be blessed.

Of course. You might have to work twice as hard the second time around and there's no guarantee you can get back something you lost but there is a fair chance. Sometimes you get back even more than you hoped for. I can't even imagine how terrible my life would be if I 'gave up' after every mistake I made.

God won't force you to do anything. Sounds to me like this person you speak of gave up music it wasn't taken away by God... Jim

that depends on your PERSONAL relationship with Jesus Christ.
If you are a child of His, He will hear your plea and act on it according to His Will for you and His plan for your life.
trust me, I have been there.
