I think if anyone is saying this much about Mexico, is because they lack knowledge in world geography.
I'm from El Salvador in Central America, and not once in our geography classes did our teachers said Mexico is part of Central America. It's a country which is closer to the north American continent. Either way Mexico is big enough to be in its own geographical site in the global world.

They say that because they need to reorganize the globe to go along with their silly politics. Here is the deal in a nutshell:

Mexicans think that Americans should not call themselves Americans because America is a continent. They ignore the fact that the country is called the United States of America. They think Americans are excluding them and think that they(Latin Americans, are not also(continental) Americans. (yeah, I know, dumb)

So Mexicans, and other Latin Americans, took it upon themselves to rename us. Sometimes they like to call us North Americans. Stupidly, they forget that Mexico is also part of North America, along with Canada, and some other countries I can't remember.

So when they realized the mistake, they try to relocate Mexico in Central America, which still does not solve the exclusion of Canada and other varied North American countries, but it is enough to satisfy their ignorance.

People probably say that because of Mexico's culture is closer to Central America's then North America's.

I have never heard anyone say that but maybe it's because they skipped/failed geography class. BUT there are a lot of ignorant/stupid people out there. I once over heard this American lady at the Vancouver International Airport talking to this cashier, and asked her if the Canadian flag came in different color

specific and No! If we are speaking geographically factors of Mexico could be seen crucial u.s.. yet as quickly as we are speaking culturally, Mexico could stand by using itself for some factors. like the Mayan way of life over laps from southern jap Mexico into Belize. to think of approximately this greater, we are actually not grouped alongside with Canadians interior the North neither is Texas grouped alongside with Mexico on the South, 2 separate international locations on the two facets. Continentally we are all North u.s., from crucial u.s. each of ways as much as Canada. assorted cultural similarities are blended mutually among the separate international locations, yet are all of the comparable geographical area. comparable with crucial u.s. (being area of North u.s.), they proportion comparable Spanish roots yet yet have their very own unique changes between the international locations inclusive of Mexico. Mexico celebrates cinco de mayo however the different international locations of crucial u.s. are unlikely to rejoice it. seem at a map to verify the geographical obstacles of crucial u.s..

Well, last few maps and globes i've seen put most of it 'south' of the main North american landmass - and 'north' of the Soutth American one.
Maybe if you're between North and South you're "Central"???
And two atlases I've seen have a page for "Mexico and the Caribbean" in one and "Central America [including Mexico] and the Caribbean" in the other.

Ignorance or stupidity, there IS a difference.
Ignorance - they have not been educated in geography;

Stupidity-they were taught, but did not retain the information.

Many people refer to the illegal aliens as "Mexican" as a reference to where they came from into the USA (since the majority of illegal aliens in the USA come from across THAT border), even though many came from Central and South America and other places.

Why do illegal aliens refer to the citizens of the United States ""OF"" America as 'United Statesians' when we have always been known as AMERICANS all over the WORLD? I'd say that is pure ignorance. So, stupidity and ignorance is not bound to one nationality or 'ethnicity'.

I don't care. Just keep the Mexicans in Mexico where they belong.

Doesn't the Mexican govt. shoot the people that illegally cross from Central America? The govt is kind-of two faced, isn't it.
