Tremors and shakes are generally caused by problems in parts of the brain that control muscles throughout the body or in particular areas, such as the hands.

Benzo's can cause the shakes because of how it affects the central nervous system. Some medications affect our bodys differently.

Other causes include the use of some drugs (such as amphetamines, caffeine, corticosteroids, and drugs used for certain psychiatric disorders), alcohol abuse or withdrawal, mercury poisoning, overactive thyroid or liver failure. Tremors can be an indication of hypoglycemia, along with palpitations, sweating and anxiety. Some forms of tremor are inherited and run in families, while others have no known cause.

Because they effect your central nervous system. There's not much you can do for it. But please be under a physician's care when you decide to stop taking them, if you do. They can have some nasty withdrawls. Your body becomes very dependant on them.

Every stronger medication has side effects, they are individual but one of them is definitly tremors. However, if they are affecting your life too much you should say to your doctor and see to change or the dose or the med.

All the best!
