My best friend was just proposed to, lives in Chicago. The boyfriend took her to a state park and had his sisters there ahead of time placing a trail of roses. On the roses were little cards with a poem that stated something about their history and pictures of them together. The last one said to put the first letters of the lines of the poem together and they formed a question. Obviously, will you marry me?... My friend was awestruck by the work, time and love put into this. The sisters were also hiding in the woods near by to take pictures of the treasure hunt and the whole kneeling and ring thing.... She will always have something to remember that special day with and never forget it.

My hubby proposed to me in a very romantic way. We are high school sweethearts and he proposed while he was in college. Our friend had this cottage and my husband and our friend put together this huge dinner (all made from scratch, complete with my favorite ice cream you can only get at this little place an hour away from where we live!). Our friend dressed up in a tux. My husband (my then boyfriend) picked me up for a date, but we ended up at the cottage. Inside it was done up to look like a really nice restaurant. Our friend was our waiter. There was romantic music playing and everything. They even had a little dance floor made up. After dinner we danced for a little bit then he got down on one knee in the middle of a song and asked me then. It was really sweet!

My sweetheart and i married young, we were so in love and just decided one day that we wanted the rest of the world to know this, so we gathered our loved ones and got married. He always felt bad that he didn't "officially" propose. After the birth of our first child, as he laid our beautiful baby boy on my chest, he got down on his knee witnessed by the doctor and the nursing staff and said "I never ever thought i could possibly love you any more than i already did but you have just given me the most precious gift anyone could possibly give me, will you marry me?"...i was still feeling the effects of the medication i was given for the c-section and was a little confused at first, lol, i said "baby we are already married". lol
Anyway thats my proposal story

My ex-fiance proposed to me at Busch Gardens. It was my birthday and we drove 3 hours in the middle of the night to spend the day at BG, towards the end of the day, when the sun was setting, we got on the sky line (the blue gondlas that go over the park) and it "broke down". We were over "Africa", with the sun setting, soaking wet from on of the water rides and he got down on his knees and asked me to marry him. I terrified the family the next gondla over from all the shaking as I said yes. (P.S. We didn't work out because he joined the military without consulting me.)

My fiance, planned a trip a month in advance to beautiful Sedona, AZ. He wouldn't tell me where we were going, so a whole month was I was in suspense. The day finally arrived, November 18, 2005, we go up 'north' and he took me a cute little cabin along the river, up in the mountains just north of Sedona. That night we were in the jacuzzi that was in our room, and he proceeds to tell me that we had to be up very early the next morning, so I said ok, no questions asked, knowing he wouldn't tell me anyways. The next morning we woke up and left the cabin about 5:00 am and he parked near an abondoned motel, which totally freaked me out, he said we had to wait for someone. Here I am freaking me out, at 5:00 am waiting by an abondoned motel waiting for a stranger. LOL! He then parks across the street and a big van pulls up and he pickes us up. I still have no clue what is going on. He then takes us to a remote area in the middle of nowhere, so I think, and when we arrived, there were about 5 people blowing up a hot air balloon. It has always been my dream to go up in a hot air balloon. I was in tears and very excited and freezing cold. We lifted off and about half an hour later he pulls me close to him and looks at me and pulls a ring out of his pocket and asked me. I was in tears and I forgot to say 'yes'. Talk about WOW, of course I said yes!! Our date is March 3, 2007. It was perfect!!!!
I cry everytime I tell our story.

I was having a bad day and my fiance, bf at the time, invited me to watch a movie and just relax. This was nothing unusual when one of us had a bad day, so I didn't think too much about anything. He was also told me he was going to check on the ring while I was dealing with everything that was going on with me and my family at the time. Well, I called him back a little later to let him know what time I'd be done so we could get together. Steve then informed me that the jeweler had made a mistake and put the wrong stone in my ring. Needless to say, that just made my bad day worse. Steve assured me that everything was alright. We could still get together to watch a movie and he had a new bottle of wine that he wanted me to try. So I make it back to his place and we head out to the store to pick up wine glasses and a movie. If my day wouldn't have been so bad, I probably would have suspected something since he wanted to get wine glasses. I just thought he was tired of drinking wine out of his coffee cups. So we pick out some nice wine glasses and then go and buy a movie from Wal-mart. We make it back to his house and he tells me to sit down and start watching the movie while he pours the wine. I thought it was sweet that he wanted me to relax after the bad day that I had. Well, he hands me my glass of wine and I look at it since it was a new kind. When I look at the wine I notice my ring in the bottom of the glass. So after I see the ring, I look up at Steve and then look back at the ring to make sure it was really there. By the time I realize what is going on I look back at Steve for reassurance, he is down on his knee asking me to marry him. I said yes and started crying and shaking. Steve was shaking as he was trying to put the ring on my finger Needless to say it was the perfect ending to what started off being a bad day.

i was currently working and he unemployed. he was using my car one day and returned it with me with none of my cd's to listen to.he was still burning them for his keeps. i called him during my shft one day and kind of bit his head off for doing that and he said that he was on his way to drop them off. he did a really good job in making me so irritated that it carried on all the way until he arrived. we both walked outside in the blazing heat towards my car. i sat in the driver seat and he was just standing before me and he said that he got me a new cd and that i should look in my case for it. it was the brian mcknight cd ("best of"). it made me smile :) and he said, look at the cd inside, its really cool. i opened the cd case and there was a ring inside instead of the cd. he got on his knees (mind you its 103 degrees out and he's wearing shorts) and tells me about his love for me and then proposes!
it totally turned my day around... and now that i think of it, it changed my whole life around :)
we're getting married this april.
