My answer isn't a very good one, I'm afraid, but I do enjoy your questions. You are spot on! I did find a father in law joke, it's rather long so I posted the link instead.
I suppose father in laws aren't very interesting people, they don't seem to get in the way much. I am writing a book about a creepy father in law however, so one of us is trying to reach that angle :)

Thats a great question lol i have never thought of that before, i think mother in laws like to stick their noses in more than father in laws, i always got on with ma father in law better than my mother in law, my mother inlaw seems more pretective of her son and it scared to let him go,

Most don't interfer in a childs marriage, like the mother-in-law. It's hard to pick on someone that rarely says anything
