You both change. A mum has this new responsibility and meaning to life. A woman only grows up when she has a child. Men need lots of attention an tend to feel left out, there is a unique bond between mother and child that even a father can't impose on . Some men also find watching their partner giving birth quiet traumatic which can affect their behaviour

My husband has changed a little since we've had our first child. He gets more irritated because we don't have as much alone time as we had before. But the changes I notice more are the changes in his personality. The loving protectiveness of him and the way he is with our son, draws me even closer to him. The way he lights up when our son says his firsts words (he is 1) and just the way he is now is so different now that we have had a child. It is wonderful

Not all guys change for the better! But yes, they do change. My husband had a family before he met me so I was pleasantly surprised about how good a dad he is. But he is more loving towards me now than ever.

I changed alot. My whole world changed. I would like to say I changed for the better. My marrige is better that it has ever been. Our child is the love of our life, and creates a special bond between parents. But yes, having a child changes both parents, for ever.

Being a Dad was the best moment of my life. I grew up overnight and have been happy ever since. My kids are older now, but I still love every minute.

I don't think it is because children are born, but more about people growing and changing over the years. Married people have other influences on their lives such as friends and work, and you can end up spending less time with your partner and grow further away from them.

I can only say that when we had our son, the bond we had became stronger, and we worked as a team. I was very ill after having the baby so hub was at home for 3 months, he now has a firm bond with our son and seeing him care for me and this little scrap of a human just made me love him more.

Yeah so much so we ended up divorced..................
He stressed himself out about the responsibility and would not help in case he did it wrong, even though I encouraged him lots......
I think he was just being a lazy git, he wanted me waiting on him and didn't like the attention taken away from him...
He was a one off and most men are not like that thank god
