You can not collect child support until your child is born. Here in Michigan there are agencies such as WIC (Woman Infant Children) that will help you and also the Family Independence Agency. Look into some agencies in your state/town you will probably find similiar ones. DON'T EVER GO BACK TO THAT GUY!!!!

Alimony maybe, but child support no. After your child is born, the judge will order a DNA test, to fully determine the father. After depending on income, he will be assigned child support. By the way,if your ex cant pay for child support, ask for one dollar a year child support, incase he comes across money you will be able to claim it, but if you except a motion of no child support on the grounds he cant pay, than you will be stuck with that judgement and you cant file another motion.

No, you can't. But you do want him to sign the Birth Certificate. If he doesn't then you will need a DNA test after the baby is born. And even if you file for child support, it will be hard to get it if he doesn't show up for court.. It sounds like you have a long road ahead of you..Good Luck!!

You cannot collect child support until your child is born. Call your state agency and women's protective center if you have anything like that. You need to explain your situation to them, I hope they can help you. It takes a strong person to evaluate the situation and know that both you and your unborn child deserve better. Good luck and may God be with you. You keep your head up and don't go back to him, no matter what!

If I were you I wouldn't want him anywhere near your child. If he pays child support its more likely after the child is born that he will have some kind of visitation. See about state assistance if you are having trouble making ends meet. Stay as far away from him as you can.

No. You cannot get child support until the baby is born. I am assuming you aren't married to the baby's father, therefore, any kind of financial support from him is going to be almost impossible at this point. Please don't take this guy back. He will abuse you and potentially your baby. Perhaps you can move in with family or friends until you get on your feet. Good luck.

That is sad to hear. The answer is no. You have to have proof that he is the baby's father, before you can collect child support. Plus you need to know his social, where he works, how much he makes. So make sure once you have your baby you have all of your information correct and together..
