LOL utterly stupid things we do. We assume it takes more energy so pressing is supposed to get that extra juice from the battery. It probably doesn't. It's just instinct to milk the remote until nothing is left or we're forced to put in a new battery.

It is probably also the same misguided logic that makes some people turn the thermostat all the way to the limit, thinking that it would make the heater (AC) heat up (cool down) the room any faster.

becuase we are checking to see if a button is bad

but mostly because we do not think very well

I mean I sit there and pull the batteries out and rotate them so they will last another 2 mins, even though I have 50 laying in my garage
