Mine hates me. Ihave asked the hubby to talk to her tonight about. It seems when there is a family gathering we ALL have to be there. I feel like everything about her is so fake.

Something my mom told me:
Always be careful of your inlaws. You took away their son. ANYTHING the son has done wrong since meeting you is because of YOU.....not the son. The son becomes perfect when he marries. His wife plants crazy ideas in his head and makes him do stupid things. She also keeps him from visiing his dear parents.
My mom was a smart lady. Even when I thought she was totally wrong, things happened that showed the truth in what she said. At the time my inlaws turned on me, we had been married 25 years and nothing was ever said to lead me to believe they didn't accept me as family. I learned differently.

I totally understand. I think it is the fact that their son's don't need them anymore, and that makes them sad. But it comes across as jealousy towards the daughter-in-law.

its a mother in law thing i think...i know if i marry my bf i will love my mother in law, but my exmaw-n-law was strange. I know she doesnt like me much now...i always seemed to offend her..but then again..i thought it was funny.
