In the screen saver for Windows XP, using the My Pictures Slideshow, then Settings ?

Question

how does the "Allow scrolling through pictures with the keyboard" setting work? My assumption was that I could scroll from one picture to the next while the screen saver was active, but each time I press a key, the screensaver exits.

when the screensaver is active, you can look through the pictures using the right and left arrow keys on the keyboard. But only these two keys- dont move the mouse.
