No, its one of the most basic human rights there are.
The idea of it reeks of Hitler's Nazi party.

I wrote a question just like this but no one seemed to like it. I think that the same idea of how we get our driver's license should be applied to having children. If you don't pass the tests or screening then you have to get fixed. We have plenty of trailer trash ghettoness in our country and we don't need more. I don't really care either way since I probably won't have kids. But some people don't know a thing when it comes to raising a child. They need some sort of education. Caring around a doll in highschool is not enough practice.

after reading some of the STUPID questions people ask on this site and the STUPIDER answers people give, you gotta wonder if it wouldnt' be a good idea. Maybe not screened, but definately have to take a class and become "licensed" or something...you can't drive a car without one, maybe you shouldn't be a parent without one either. Good luck enforcing it though!

I whole heartily agree, take my nephew & his wife who just had a baby, she smoked like a fien throughout her pregnancy and was popping vicodines like candy. The baby was born a month ahead of time, then she gets mad that people are telling her not to smoke around the baby, unbelievable...hello did you not have a premature baby that had a low birth weight? It says it right on the cigarette package!!!! Poor baby.

Yep, everyone should be made sterile by an injection at birth, and then when they turn 18, if they want to, they can take a test to have the sterilization reversed.

Yes! As many movies have put it "You need to take a test to drive, but they'll let any bozo be a father."

you have to have a permit or license to do so many less important things, if it were possible I think it would be a great idea that people have to prove themselves worthy, before becoming parents.
