I want to create a file sharing software for me and some of my friends to use. Anyone know of a good C++ program that lets me write a program or any other software that would help me create this? I also have no idea how to make it work so that we can share while we are all online. Anyone know how I can accomplish this? Basically I want to create a program like Limewire and Kazaa for the personal use of my friends and I. Please do not suggest downloading another share program as I want to CREATE my own. Any help is truly apreciated.

It takes a lot of skilled programmers to accomplish that, but I would recommend using Visual Basic .Net. you can download it free from microsoft right now. All they have you do is register (free for once) to get the activation key. I'm actually on a project similar to what you're trying to do. There are 10 of us and we're 3 months into the networking interface and protocal code.

of path it particularly is volatile. you're getting archives from unknown and untrusted components. Malware writers are gleefully responsive to individuals sharing pirated music, video, and application and that they gladly plant contaminated archives everywhere in the internet. The holy grail is to plant an unknown 0-day make the main and then chill out and watch as tens of hundreds of machines grow to be bots on the malware authors' networks. Even being contemporary on anti-virus updates won't shelter you interior the 1st 24 hours of a 0-day assault.
