I heard that Floyd Sr. wants 2 mil for him to be Oscar's trainer for the upcoming May 5th showdown against Jr. and he is saying he won't train him for a penny less. Oscar has reportedly offered Sr. 500,000 and said 2 mil is out of the question. Do you think this is Floyd Sr's way of trying to get out of having to train someone to fight his son? Should Oscar just start looking for another trainer or should he give Sr. his asking price. Jack Mosley has offered to be Oscar's trainer.

If Floyd Sr. desperately wants to beat his son......then he should get 500,000. Two million dollars is too much.

It's probably Floyd sr's way of telling De la Hoya that he really doesn't want to train him to fight his son. I'm sure despite they're differences, it's going to be hard for sr. to train a man to beat up his son. I really think Oscar would be better off just getting another trainer like a Jack Mosley or Freddie Roach or Emanuel Steward, someone who is not so emotionally tied to this fight. Would Floyd sr. really and genuinely give Oscar all the correct advice he needs to fight his son? I doubt if he would. Blood is thicker than water.

To be honest i think Floyd Sr is the best man to train De La Hoya to fight Floyd, so therefore i think he should just pay him whatever he asks, it is not going to be that high a percentage out of his purse for the fight anyway so if he wants him he should just pay him, i cant imagine Oscar going hungry any time soon, 2 million dollars is poket change for him so he should just get it paid and get in the gym, get in the best shape of his life and get ready to give us hopefully one of the best fights ever. C'mon Oscar.

I don't know if this is true or not, but if it is even 2 million probably wouldn't be enough for Floyd Sr. to train Oscar, he should go with Jack and be happy

I read the same thing. It is true. If I was Oscar I wouldnt pay it. I wouldnt even accept him as a trainer at all. How would you be able to trust him to do the right thing against his own son? Would you train and tell secrets to someone to beat your son? I wouldnt. Not for all the money in thew world.

Oscar should get Emanuel Steward back, and donate some of his $25 million from the fight to him so he can re open the Kronk Gym.
