Most companies offer reimbursement for courses that will help you at your job.
But some companies also offer scholarships (small grants of up to $10,000) - you don't have to be an employee.
A couple of examples:
www.bestbuy.com - look for Make Learning Fun
www.walmartfoundation.org - look for COMMUNITY scholarships

Sajna, Many different companies offer many different kinds of tuition reimbursement. Policies can vary greatly between companies. Some companies will cover 100% of education regardless of what courses you are taking. Some may cover 50% of courses that are relevant to your work, and some may not cover anything. When you are invited to an interview, you should ask to see the company's policy on tuition reimbursement.

It all depends on the company. You would have to ask them about that. It would not be in their best interest to pay for you to go to college so you could take marine biology classes and leave the company when you are done with school. However, if you plan to major in business, management, or restaurant and hotel management, they would most likely reimburse for that because there is a chance you could advance within the company with a degree in one of those.
Most likely it would have to be a field with some relevance to a potential position with the company.
FYI: There are a lot of companies out there offering tuition reimbursement. Do a little research into the companies who may pay for the field(s) of your interest.

It depends on the company and the job. Some companies offer tuition reimbursement for all education, but most only offer it for job relatred education. Also, the TGI Friday's reimbursement program is probably only for peope working in company HQ, not restaurant employees.

Totally depends on the company. Some offer for any degree, some for only specific degrees some for only specific classes in specific degrees. Also some actually expect to see a receipt from you showing that tuition was paid before they will give you money.

They will only reimburse you if your trying to get a degree in marketing, business management, or something like that. Its only if you want to further yourself with a better job with their company or if your trying to own your own company. They only reimburse a certain percentage based on your grades as well. Like if you make As in the classes they reimburse full amount and if you make Bs they only reimburse like 90% if you make a C they only reimburse about 70% but that's the part they fail to tell you or put in the pamphlet.

You should ask. I can imagine that general business, business management and accounting would be skills that would benefit a restuarant company as well as specific restuarant classes. I imagine they wouldn't want to pay for you to go to nursing school. Get the details because they may define a certain number of years of service post graduate in order to not have to pay them back for monies spent on your education.
