I don't know what "intimate romantically speaking" means, but the only way to end any relationship is to be honest with the other person. I have had sexual relationships that ended after a period of time. We just talked about it and it stopped. We did remain friends for the past 20 years with no problem and sex has never been an issue. The most important thing is to be honest, tell him you don't want to do this with him anymore.

No easy way--very hard!
Be ready for the drama. Make sure you don't become too emotional or you'll be sending a mixed message. You might want to practice what you will say and don't buy his groveling if he does. Don't break down if he does either--you have to be very strong. If you don't think you can be strong then ask yourself if that's the right thing to be doing at this time.

be truthful with them if you found someone that you want to be with as in a relationship let them know that. They will respect u if u tell the truth about breaking it off that way u at least remain friends vs if u lie and they find out later.

I know its hard, but the only t hing to do really is tell him how you feel. If yo u are both not committed to your relationship it does not make sense for you guys to carry it on. Good luck with your situation.

Well, you shouldn't have had that kind of relationship in the first place. Try and keep it going since you've both lost your virginity to each other already.

best thing to do is cut off all contact for a bit. it's easy to say to just be friend, but the minute one has a weak moment you can fling yourself back into it.. eventually if you want to remain friends resume concatc, but past that.. cut if dry for right now.

Meet in a public place and tell them that you are moving on.

Unless you are relocating, you will need to be very intentional about NOT giving any indication that you want to pick up where you left off.

just stop talking to them or tell them you don't want to do that anymore. it might be hard to become regular friends with this person. they will always try to make it sexual.. your best bet is to tell the person how it is and if that doesn't work then ignore them.
