hiya.my gorgeous american girlfriend is back in the US as part of her job.she goes there back & forth quite often - something that has always bugged me.ive only got her back a month since she was last away & now shes off for another 3 weeks.you cant connect properly with email or skype -its never gonna be enough.
how do you cope with a broken heart at your love's absence? i love her so much & couldnt bear to lose her.yet i miss her terribly.she left last night & im desperately unhappy at all of this.Im crushed im like a ghost without her.yet i love her & am prepared to put up with it.hell i told her last night id give up everything & move over to the States to be with her forever.i know i want to spend the rest of my life with her.
anyone any advice on how you cope with the absences, the loneliness, the sheer emptiness of not having your other half around you?im tempted to hit the pub tonight just to numb this pain of not having her. Thanks, Jackie.

Long distance is really difficult but not impossible, when i first moved away for my boyfriend i thought i wouldnt cope but you will soon realise that you can... When u see her again it will be like magic... Those times together are so precious and great it makes it worthwhile..
i always tell my boyfriend, 1 hour in his arms is worth a three month wait!!
Be patient.. it can be hard but its usually worth it!!
Enjoy your time together however short it may be!!!

I am in a long distance relationship as well, things that help us are every night we establish an hour or so to talk on the phone. This helps us to have something to look forward to everyday, also we use webcams so we can see each other when we really miss each other. If you wanna spice it up a little bit you can use the webcam for more, I feel like these things help keep our relationship close and intimate. Also try not to tell her too much how sad you are, it will only upset her more. She needs to know you miss her, but paying attention to her will let her know that with out making her feel bad.

Sometimes it's real hard to back up and take a look; for instance, it really takes two to tango; and you need to be met half way. Have you both discussed the options of your relationship?
Are you absolutely sure she is as committed about you as you are about her?
Also remember, where there's a will there's a way re the long distance thing; but I have some niggling feeling of doubt about this one; find out what her feelings are (or what her intentions might be) in that way you will KNOW for sure re shifting over to the USA etc.
Good luck ~

I have heard from many people that long distance relationships are very difficult, but when you love some one your willing to take the chance and be with them, even though its hard to me so far away from them for so long.
