I love my Whirlpool Gold, but the Consumer's Report listed the Kenmore Elite as a best buy. Both have moveable top racks which allow you to clean taller items. Both have the pot scrubber, china and short run features. Both are energy efficient, but I don't recommend using the air dry function if you are doing a load of china because you will get water stains.

I have the GE Triton Profile dishwasher.

It's quite a few years old, never have had a single problem with it and works like the day I bought it...which is FANTASTIC! We don't even have to rinse our dishes off and they come out sparkling clean. I have put dishes in it that had dried on food from who knows when (found in my teens room under a bed) and they came out without a speck on them. It flushes out and brings in clean water so your dishes aren't being washed in dirty water. pulverizes food particles and it will heat the water to keep the temperature up to a sanitizing level. I do AT LEAST one full load of dishes every single day, sometimes two and have since I bought this dishwasher several years ago. It also has every cycle you can think of plus the "Start Delay" and it was inexpensive. We bought ours at Lowes but like I said it was probably 5 or 6 years ago.

No, but I'd recommend avoiding the Indesit ones, our fairly new Indesit IDL 700 model is temperamental and also has a design flaw whereby if you put cutlery in the first 2 rows of the cutlery holder it blocks the tablet dispenser from opening.

yes, dixons sell some great ones! i would suggest you go there and ask about it. some dishwasher work better for you than other people. eg. if you dont use alot of dishes, you may need a smaller one which takes a smaller load, or if you use alot of dishes (eg big family), then take a larger one with a larger capacity! understand? haha! well have fun dishwashershopping!

xx

I can tell you one you don't want. Kenmore Elite. Spent almost $1K for it and would rather have a less expensive one if it's not even gonna clean dishes! Don't fall for the bs they give ya at the store.

Bosch, Miele and AEG all have good reputations. It depends on your budget. Miele cost more but then last 20 years.
