Corn is technically a grain - it is the seed head to a large grass.

Actually, each individual corn kernel is a fruit, so it's not a veggie in the first place. Popcorn actually has the exact same nutrative value as real corn - until you put butter, salt, and other toppings on it. Still, it's healthier for you than, say, Doritos, but it's not as good as eating an apple and it was NEVER a vegetable.

Many diets now say to count corn as a carbohydrate, just like popcorn.

Corn and Popcorn are two different plants. You have to have use different seeds to get each one. I know because I've grown popcorn plants before. And corn too for that matter!

corn is not a vertable it is a grain. It is mostly starch not much nutrients in it. Its like peas too, mostly starch
