My pigeons are not looking too well one has already died and an other has got yellow hard stuff around its beak it is also lying down a lot could anyone help me diagnose what is wrong and what kind of medication I can give it??? I need a pigeon fancier to tell me what is wrong because I do not know much about them!! And what kind of desiese this is!! The pigeons I keep are norige croppers!!

You need to take the bird to a vet that specializes in Avian diseases. It sounds like Pigeon Breeders Disease I know that sounds lame, but its actually a disease. Pigeons that are kept in a small aviary with lots of pigeons housed together. Especially if you don't clean them often, become susceptible to irritants in there droppings. Its contagious and will kill. It affects there lungs and immune systems. I cant diagnose it from a description only a vet can do that. You need medication that can only be prescribed by a vet. You will have to treat every bird that you raise, even those that are not pigeons. IF you have chickens or other birds they could be the carriers or the cause the pigeons problems.

I am an ex bird breeder exhibitor with over 30 yrs exsperience and i think that you may have a mite in you loft you should get one of your infected birds to a vet a.s.p. don't take any chances; if i am correct then your vet will priscribe some IVAMEXINE you can only get this from a vet; good luck

you pigeons have canker you can get tablets to cure as long as it not to advanced what happens it builds up in the throat and chokes them old remedy remove most of the yellow cheese stuff and rub inside of mouth with a damp match stick the sulphur in the match works

It is hard to say without seeing them but it sounds like canker (trichamanosis) You need to get a vet to prescribe medication. It is easy to cure if not too advanced. I would advise you treat for it as a preventative measure on an ongoing basis.

It is impossible to diagnose what is wrong over the internet. Take the living birds to the vet ASAP. They are the only ones who can really tell you what is going on.

i have always kept fantail doves and i never had any problem keeping them but the last lot of 10 i bought all died i firmly believe that bird flu is rife in the uk regardless what experts say i know of other bird fanciers losing their birds and they cant understand why

it would want to just about something pigeons carry alot of diverse deseases...i do not understand whats occurring precisely yet bypass to a vet earlier they die or you get ill or remove them.

your birds have canker you can buy liquid remedy from pet shops to add to there water also check for newcastles desiese but euthenasia is recommended
