If it is kept at a constant temperature, either refrigerated or room temperature, roughly 3 months without losing good taste. It'll last forever, but the taste certainly won't. If you keep changing its temperature, the 3 month time line drops rather fast to about a week, and then to a few days. In college, we call this skunking because the beer is drinkable but it doesn't taste so great.

Bottled beer last approx 90 days from bottling. No matter where it's from or who made it. It's made with Yeast. How long does bread last?? Not a year. Thing is many people can drink skunky beer and not even know it. That's why the popular answer here is 6 mos to a year. Yikes. I wish you guys would come by my bar more often, I'd make a killing selling year old beer and never have to restock.
FYI. Kegs last 30 days after put into the keg and charged with either nitrogen or CO2.
Enjoy while it's still good.

Contrary to what everyone else on here is saying, bottled beer does NOT go bad that easily. Some manufacturers put a "Best By" or "Freshest By" date on the bottle, but that is generally only a guideline and most often pertains to cheap American style pilseners or lagers. In reality, these beers can be drunk a year or more past bottling and still be fine, so long as they are not stored in direct sunlight. Some beers, sup as Chimay "Blue" actually improve with age, and it is recommended these beers be ages for a few years to provide optimum taste. Cheers!

If the bottle is not opened it should last until the stated expiry date. Provided of course that it is not subjected to extreme light and heat. Once the bottle is opened, the beer should be consumed right away. It will not stay "good" for more than 15-20 minutes, depending on the room temperature / weather.

all beer is required to have an expiration date (Budweiser is the only brewery with birthdates for brews). usually it's about a year from when it was produced. in my opinion, beer will go bad after about three months. it will lose it's flavor and crispness. after 6 months, throw it out. it starts skunking b/c yeast/ hops/ and other grain in the brew goes bad. this makes the beer stink, it's still drinkable, but you won't be able to enjoy it. i use skunky beer to cook with.
also, i say about three months, because not only does it spend time being stored and delivered, it also gets stashed in stores for an indefinite amount of time.
buy beer and enjoy it within three months of buying it, because you'll never know when exactly it came in.

well its common sense leave it out in the heat no refrigeration open it smell it if it smells bad then dont drink it but if you cant tell the difference drink budwieser because that date on the bottle is an expiration date. its called date on bottle year on date 1 year after manufactured it goes bad roughly. careful though some beer stays on the road for 6 months or more after factory

It relies upon on the circumstance that's saved. If the beer is subjected to variations in temperature it particularly is going to circulate undesirable quicker (lots quicker). oftentimes speaking, as quickly as a lager is chilly it ought to continuously stay chilly till enjoyed. interior the refrigerator, a lager can final 6 months or longer (even though it particularly is going to no longer take a seat in a refrigerator that long...it particularly is not honest to the beer).
