At school i use logic express 7 and i find it perfect for me, however i dont have a mac and i cant afford one. is there any way i can run logic express 7 on windows, or can you reccomend a good music programme that will run on windows?

Logic only works on a MAC unless you have a really old version which isn't supported anymore. I know some people use ProTools on a PC and that might work for you. You could look at MusiciansFriend.com for other software options. Apple has come out with some lower cost units and you just can't beat a MAC for music & graphic programs (even if Windows is trying to catch up).

BTW, as a student, you can get software at dramatically reduced pricing. I don't know if there's a discount on what you're looking for but you can try Gradware.com to check.

A Mac Mini is $599. That's about what you'll spend for Vista, and the Mini comes with a better OS and is probably faster than what you have now. Get the Mac.

Most of the studios I have been too run protools.
