Ok. I have had this problem in the past. Whatever you do, don't ask him out(unless you know that he likes you). I have tried to ask guys out in the past, and it didn't work out so well. If you ask him out he will feel intimidated, and you will eventually scare him off. Wait for him to make the move. Good things come to those who wait. As for your parents, I would ask them what to say to him. First you should become friends, then, if he wants, then move to the next level of your relationship. He should go to your dad and ask for his permission to ask you out. That will show your father that he is a respectful person. Also, tell him to keep his hands to himself. first of all, make sure you two know each other well & he's single so you won't make a fool out of yourself. Secondly.... be yourself. and after that, just hang out for a while (like go places you know he'll be at). then eventually, ask him out.
