You should definitely recork it. If you put it on the counter overnight, it will be as if it had been aged. If it's a fine bottle, I would plan to drink it all at once. For a less expensive bottle, you can place it, well corked, on the counter for max. two days or in the fridge for max 3-4. The cold will destroy some of the flavor, but it won't make a huge difference unless you're an oenophile (wine-lover, usually verging on wine-obsessed-person :-D ). Definitely allow the wine to warm on the countertop for about 45 minutes to an hour before drinking if you refrigerate it. If you keep it on the counter, cooling it in the fridge for about 15 minutes before you drink it (this is especially good for unopened bottles) will give it that 'cellar-temperature,' which is supposedly ideal for the flavor.
Keep in mind that the definition of a good wine for you is any wine that you like.
Vac-U-Vin works, as does the heavier than air gas spray you can get, and obviously a wine cooler fridge works really well, but unless you want to spend that kind of money, go for the simple solution.

The simple answer is to check the label. Generally if a Red White is best served chilled which several are then it will be indicated on the there. If it's not suggested then always best to just serve at room temperature. There is no chance that the wine will explode in the refridgerator.....perhaps the freezer but certainly not the fridge. If the label has been written in a language you do not understand then why don't you try googling it to see what others have found?

I always decant my reds first, but when I don't finish a bottle I just leave the decanter out on the counter (with the stopper in) and I find after a day or two it still tastes great! I wouldn't let it go more than 2 days though, just for the sake of the quality of the wine. Enjoy!

You can keep it in a cooler place for a while. I personally wouldn't put it in a fridge, but some people do. You could get a wine cooler. They keep the wine at a constant temperature, that helps it to not oxidize as quickly.

no, after a few days, it goes bad, starts to get stale, you can be taking wine in and out of climates, you ever notice a vinegar type taste, it happens when it gets stale, use it within 3 days, thats just me, I cant stand when people try to put stale unproperly corked wine on you at dinner, anyhow, buy a wine book, just for fun to resource some good info, wine is fun, isnt, nice yummy

If it's not too hot outside the fridge, you can leave it there (corked). If not, use a vacuum pomp (vac-u-vin) and put it in the fridge. Santé, proost, salud, skal!
