Most likely yes. Check with the Canadian embassy to make sure. And by driving you will probably have a better chance of having someone not even notice your priors.

By the way-- Passports make terrible bait.

If there is an outstanding warrant for your arrest - then no. You'll m ost likely be arrested at the border. If you were convincted and did time or had your case cleared then of course you can.

It depends on the crime I suppose but if you have not committed or intend to committ a crime in Canada, or any other country, there should be no problems.

if you fish with a passport you won't catch much fish. my suggestion is that you bring a lot of fishing lures

Not usually. I think customs wouldhave his name flagged and he'd bestopped at the border. At least, i hope he would. we don't want American criminals here any more than you want Canadian ones there.
