We have been togehter 6 years and she mentioned a few times she doesn't want a boyfriend any more. She tried to break up with me but we talked about it and stayed together. Now im wondering if she is afraid of hurting me by leaving me and is trying to get me to leave her. What signs should i look for?

I think if you even need to ask yourself that question you should just let it go - shes obviously not the best person for you.

If you guys have been together for six years, and she mentions that she doesn't want a boyfriend anymore, that would be the hint. If she doesn't want a boyfriend and she's staying with you anyway, its probably cause she doesn't want to hurt you, after all, you guys were together a long time. If I were you, I wouldn't even look for signs, cause she has already told you how she feels. Good luck, and remember, no matter how heartbroken you are after breaking up with someone, time goes by and you live on.

If she starts acting mean, disrespectful, too flirty, or not available she wants you to dump her. She has kind of told you she doesn't want a boyfriend anymore that means she doesn't want YOU anymore. Leave her and find a new girl that will appreciate you. don't avoid it. If trying to fix it doesn't work, then she's not for you. But signs? umm maybe not returning calls (a big one).... um looking at other guys & flirtin' with 'em. well whatever her problem is, i hope she gets over it. for now..... my sympathy goes out to you. jeez, 6 years.

I am really sorry, but her saying that she doesn't want a boyfriend was a big "WANT OUT" flag. Don't waste anymore time.
