I have been using Neutrogena acne face wash for the past 3 months (ish) it seems to be drying my skin. I have combination skin parts oily parts dry. I used to use Proactive but that runs out real quick. What can y'all recommend for combination skin that's not too pricy.

I gotta tell ya, I have extremly dry skin, because of my face was, but it's the best wash i've ever used! My skin is soo clear! Nothing can last in those dry conditions. So I cover it up with Oil of Olay moisturizer and nobody knows I have dry skin!! I love haveing dry skin now, I say keep the face wash you have that works and use a good moisturizer!!

I had the exact same problem! I use Neutrogena foaming cleanser. It's blue with little blue and white beads. it cleanses and washes away make-up and bacteria. it also exfoliates getting rid of dead skin cells which is what causes oily skin. that stopped the oily part. You said you have some parts dry to and since you said you use an acne cream im guessing you struggle with acne. For me anything with salicic acid broke my skin out more and dried it out. That could be your problem. To rid your acne and keep your face extra clean I use Clearasil daily face wash for sensitive skin. I use the Neutrogena foaming cleanser and the Clearasil at the same time. Neutrogena first then the clearasil. I use it in the morning and before I go to bed. It is important to wash your face in the morning because alot of oil on your face comes from off your pillow. I hope this helps! good luck! By the way if this gets too bad see a dermentologist. It pretty much stopped my acne.

I used to have a similar problem. The only product I have found that works and doesnt dry out my skin is Proactive. I use a Clean & Clear face wash in the morning with an oil-free moisturizer and the Proactive facewash, astringent, and lotion before bed. I have been following this system for about 4 years now and it has worked really well.

I have been using the cleansing paste from Collective Wellbeing for a while now. It's formulated for oily/combination and sensitive skin. It is really amazing. My oily/combo skin feels so good and smooth and soft after I use it! It doesn't dry out my skin but does a pretty good job of sopping up the oil.

I have combination skin, as well....I find that the most important thing I can do is moisturize regularly....even the oily patches. If you dry out your skin, it will just produce more & more oil. Be sure to use an exfoliating cleanser about once a week to keep pores clear or dirt & dead skin, so they don't get clogged.

I'd say maybe Olay face washes. You can use the kind with witch hazel in it since it helps acne. You might want to consider using moisterizer for the dry parts of your skin. I used to have that problem but after puberty was over it went away.

Olay Deep Cleansing Face Wash for combination/oily skin with witch hazel deep cleans your skin to thoroughly remove dirt, oil and makeup. The creamy lather rinses clean without overdrying your skin.

Wash your face with cleansing soap and water to get the makeup off, or use makeup remover. Then i take advantage of apricot scrub and then an common face wash by using Clearasil or something like that.
