I asked a question earlier about asking a Mexican immigrant questions. We are having a guest speaker tonight in SOC class and I would like to have some questions ready for him when I get there.

I am NOT looking for questions such as "How many of your family members are you going to bring here?"

For example....

In a recent report from the Majority Staff of the House Committee on Homeland Security, it was found that Federal, State and Local law enforcement report new and ever-increasing levels of ruthlessness and violence associated with criminal organizations, which are spilling across our borders and moving into local communities. As a Mexican Immigrant, how do you feel about the increasing violence that is stemming from your homeland?

I think you are terrific. I bet your question won't be popular, though.

Ask this question -

Why is it a felony for a US Citizen to illegally immigrate to Mexico by the Mexican Government. But when a citizen of Mexico or another Latin American Country comes to the USA, they want to be welcomed with open arms?

If an american citizen applies for a job at a company and an illegal migrant worker applies for the same job, why should the illegal immigrant get the job? Shouldn't citizens of this country be given this job and you sent home??

Why can't the mexican government provide a better working environment for their workers? Why don't you go home!

Should Spanish be considered a secondary language in the United States? And Why?
...I'd be curious to hear what a Mexican would say about that. Personally, I don't think America should have a secondary language. If you live here, imigrate here, you should learn the speak American.

1. Ask Why he thinks the American citizens should CATER to the ILLEGALS in our OWN country!!!!! Why should WE change to suit THEM??? How DARE they come to our country and start trying to change everything to suit them!!! First it's our language, which is ENGLISH!!! Then, it's OUR anthem!!!~!

2. Ask, why don't they have the HUEVOS to fight for THEIR own country!!

3. Ask if he thinks it''s FAIR that OUR citizens do without because of the ILLEGALS coming here and using up benefits meant for LEGAL U.S. citizens!!!

4. Then, if he says "yes" to the last question, tell him that WE do NOT agree to support these illegal FREELOADERS,. and we will send HIM the bill for all these deadbeats!!!!

5. Ask WHY the illegals want to come here, when 80% of Americans do NOT want them here!!!!

6. Ask how he's going to feel about the ILLEGALS when the next civil war break out!!!! Because that is EXACTLY where this thing is headed!!!!!
And, all us "renecks" have guns and know how to use them!!!!

With the increas of illegal immigrants comming here for jobs
why did you decide to immigrate to the US and open a business instead of opening a business in Mexico and providing jobs for them?

Well it would be better if I/we knew the credentials of the guest speaker. Is he just some random guy who immigrated? is he a government official who immigrated? does he represent a hispanic political action group? ..... who is he?

I would better be able to formulate a question if i knew.

I think that is a good question - even tho first answerer says it's harsh....facts are facts - which may tend to break rose-colored glasses....

Another thought...
Jesse Diaz, DFW LULAC leader said us uncivilized Americans are corrupting illegals and making them commit crimes...does he think this is true & if so, how can he explain (your original question)
