Shouldn't we have been able to before we ate apples?

Let me spell this out for some of you-we have sex, (supposedly) God does not.

1)We don't know if the fruit was an apple.
2)You need to understand that sex is a gift from God, and, to answer your question, yes, I'm pretty sure there was sex before the fruit was eaten. Sex is a gift from God and is beautiful in the context of marriage.

Sex evolved as a method to limit the damage caused by parasites preying on prior animals who divided by mitosis, and thereby continued the same DNA strain.

Its the oneness factor. They two shall become one. This is the love that produces life.
God told them to before they ate the forbidden fruit. But, I guess they didn't get around to it yet. So that is the problem of not having sex (denying your spouse) the serpent will tempt you to get fulfillment (false) elsewhere.
Also, it is possible they had sex before the fall, just didn't get pregnant.

sex is a gift, not some thing that God made while saying this:
"Awh...shucks. Now I gotta make a way that they can multiply...now how the heck am I gonna do that.."
Sex isn't a sin.
Sex out of the context of marraige is.
The point is that WE ALL SIN AND WE ALL NEED JESUS.

What makes you think there was no sex before the fruit was eaten? The original sin was disobedience, not sex.
