I would never encourage my fiance to sleep with another woman.
Either your girlfriend was testing you to see if you really would cheat on her, or she is actually hoping you will so she can be unfaithful too.
You guys need to sit down and talk.
What does this "space" imply? Are you both going to stay loyal to each other or fool around on the side?
Put your relationship into perspective.
Do you want to be with your girlfriend or someone else? Does your girlfriend want to be with you or someone else?
In my opinion, cheating is never acceptable behavior and it is not going to solve your relationship problems. If anything, it will make things worse. Cheating destroys trust.
Good luck, just be open with her and figure out what you both want.

I would break up with your girlfriend or no cheat at all. She was probably being sarcastic...like "I dare you to cheat on me and you'll see what happens" kind of thing. She doesn't acctually want you to. She wants you to show her that you are serious about your relationship and you wouldn't cheat on her because there's an opportunity. Definitley do not cheat. If anything, break up with your girlfriend so you have a clean slate.
