Go with a simple Pioneer head unit, they make the most out of your stock system and beefs up your sound. It will also dress up your car nicely. Circuit City installs for free when you buy there.

first you should have the radio, heat and air unit fixed. and after you have everything fixed. than you can look into replacing your radio.

head units(radio) dont really make to much of a difference in sound performance. its mostly just about looks if your not really that deep into car audio.

so some good looking brands are:
Pioneer
sony
kenwood
dual
JVC

Sony sucks. go with Pioneer Premier, or Kenwood Excelon.
