u must be gaining muscle... bravo!!
also, you gain 3-5 pounds during the day, and lose it while u sleep, so the only time of day when u get ur correct weight on a scale is right in the morning after you have used the washroom

if you have only been dieting for a week and a half then its probably water retention and fluid you have lost, this is why you may have lost inches but no weight. you could not have gained enough muscle in a week and half to lose inches and maintain weight, it would take months of training. Keep going and the weight should start to move, if you want fast results and save some money then try the guys i used, they are the tops.if losing some pounds of any description is what you want then I used a great website and coach who helped me. They were very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. The website is www.myhealthabcmall.com once you fill in your details then you can see the full range of products they have. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight, its all nutrition based.
I lost all my weight in less than three months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them, the tips you get and encouragement are excellent (their advice and time is FREE). I am still with them so I stay healthy. If you just want to buy the products and not use the coaching then you can do that aswell, there is a link in there to email them so you can tell them you just want to buy and not speak to anyone. The owners will even advise you via email on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did it this way (she was more self conscious than me) and lost 76 pounds in less than five months. These guys are just great, try them.

Maybe your diet is too strict. Maybe you are not weighing yourself only once a week on the same day and time every week. Are you working out, that is very important. If you are working out, you could be putting on muscle at first so won't recognize the weight loss at first.

Muscle is more dense than fat. That means that a mass of muscle will take up less volume than an equal mass of fat. So it is possible that you can lose inches without losing weight. Don't be so hung up on the weight. Take your measurements and see if you really are losing inches. Or you can use a benchmark like a piece of clothing that's too tight for you to gauge your progress.

You lost fat but gained muscle. Muscle is actually heavier than fat. Don't worry your doing good. Eventually you'll see the weight come off. After all you've been on a diet for a week and a half. keep going!

Don't worry about the weight. as long as youi're losing inches. The weight will come off too. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week.

Stick with it. You might have gain muscle and lost fat, thus giving you a steady body weight. If you want to track what your body is actually doing; I would recommend getting a body impedence device (omron or tanita) to measure your body fat % and lean muscle mass.

Good luck and train hard

depending on how much body fat you have, your current level of fitness and how "healthy" your diet actually is it can take 3-4 weeks to see a shift in the metabolism...
