I know this sounds corny, but if you say it out loud enough, your brain will actually start believing it. That's why people have a hard time with self esteem, because they keep telling themselves that they don't have any confidence - eventually, the brain actually believes it.

You'll never get anywhere if you keep telling your brain what to think.

Think deeply and find the cause of your problems. Get together with positive thinking people. Dress your mind to kill such as feeding your brain that there is no one in the world smarter than you. Avoid nerds or people that look at others over their shoulders. Remember, perfection is not born with, its created.

Go out and do something for others - volunteer with a community group or develop a project of your own that will benefit your community. It will make you feel good about yourself and will make you feel like you have added value and that there are people out there that need you.

take care of your own needs first. get involved in activities that you enjoy and know you do well. spend time with positive, supportive people and avoid those who bring you down. sometimes it helps to seek counseling too. a good counselor can help guide and support you through this process.
