Usually, a scab is something you can physically "pick" off your body, it is on the ouitside of your skin. A scar is from the inside and that is not something you can remove yourself. Usually you only get a scar if it is a deep puncture wound. I wouldn't worry.

you always get a scab first, not always getting a scar. A scab is just your bodies way of protecting iteself from un wanted viruses. Your blood fors a clot and then dries until the skin underneath is completly sealed again. If the skin heals but leaves an indent such as a little whole then you are then left with a scar.

okay a scar is a cut that has totally healed . A scab is a cut that is in the process of healing You pooped a pimple and now you have a minor hole on your face. The best thing is to go to a dermatologist. If you don't want to do that than use moisturizer for the dead skin but the hole will probably stay. My father did that a lot and he does have a few holes but they build Character with him. Honestly go see a skin doctor. Good luck! Bye.

You don't always have a scab or a scar. A scab eventually comes off. If you leave it alone, you are less likely to scar.

A scab is a wound that is healing. It is the skin covering the wound that is still crusty and possibly a brownish red. A scar is the healed wound with new skin covering it. Usually small scars will eventually fade.

There will be a scab before it scars. If you pick the scab, the scarring will be worse. A scar is usually the same color and texture as the skin. A scab is usually darker and harder.

It sounds like you scraped yourself, and didn't bleed red blood cells. It's still a scab. As long as you keep it clean and don't let it get infected, you should be fine. Maybe put some neosporin on it at night. That would keep it moist and free from bacteria so that it will heal better and faster. Sounds like it's not deep at all, and you will most likely not have a very noticable scar.

your skin will always scab over after an injuring during the healing process. thats simply how it works. leave the scab alone. dont pick it or mess with it. leave it to heal on its own. all wounds big enough will leave a scar on the skin once they have healed.
