I lost mine in 1999 and have never had a problem. My current job also required that I be cleared with the NAIC as well as the NASD...both regulated by the government and again...no problem with the copies that I had. I would, however, look into the replacement of them...my friend just did it and it cost her just over $200.
Good luck!

It depends on the job. Some places will let you work if you bring them a copy of your cards, other places will require you to bring in your original card and they will copy it there.
Either way, you might want to look into getting replacements sent to you. Best of luck to you.

I think you should be able to get a job with the copies of the cards and incase they want proof, you could show them the receipt of the application for the replacement cards

really depends on the employer. some times they only ask you to bring copies, in which case you are good to go. but if they really want to see the originals then you have a problem.
but personally i think you should be ok as long as the copies are really yours

It depends on the employer... Most will want to see one or the other, but the restaurant business is much more lax or so I hear.
