Yes, it's a popular scam at the moment. You will not see your money or the dog. Stay far away.

It's a scam. Usually these scams are posted on websites that advertise the selling of dogs. They state that the dog is free, gives a sad story to why they have to give up the dog, and then they state that the dog is free; however, there is shipping involved to which you need to forward your information to their "shipper" and pay "their shipper."
If that is what they are doing, then it's a scam. There are instances to where people actually believe the story and send the money and never see their dog nor the money again. If you live in the US and they are in another country the there are more chances that it is a scam.
Trust your instincts. If your instincts say this seems like a scam and your "lights" are going off then chances are it is a scam. You should report the site that they are posted on. If they are sending you paypal links then you need to contact paypal and report it so that they can take the necesary action.
There truely is not much you can do. If you report it to the site t hen they get removed; however, they can simply create a new identity and run it all over again. You just need to be careful. Good Luck.

Actually that may not be a scam. Papers for dogs cost $15.00. Shipping charges for a pup cost anywhere from $200-400. I breed Labrador Retrevers and thats what it costs me. I sell pups for $850.00 + shipping. Thats the going rates. Now if this was a local adoption there should have been no shipping charges.
Is the dog come with proper papers, get the AKC or other regisration#for the dog or the parents. Check the registration center at AKC or whoever your dog is registered through to find out more information about where your dog came from. They have some history. Breeder name male/female name etc. Thats a good start then you can file with the local BBB to get a history. Chances are what they did was just leave out the shipping costs from the add. You may have some recorse. Also check your local state office for consumer affairs. They can help. If your afaird its a scam. Do COD on the shipping or pay for the shipping yourself. I've never heard of that place either so some caution is required if you want that dog.

Yes I have heard of these and they usually pick some place they live as no one has ever heard of . Yes it is a scam and dont send them anything . notify your internet provider and let them know of the person sending the e-mails. They should take it from there . Also contact your state senator or congressman and let them know . good luck to you and you always have to keep your eyes open on the net .

I would not do it. You pay them and they send you nothing. Regardless of that, it's never wise to adopt a dog without seeing it first. Remember though that adopting does not always mean "free". A responsible person would always ask for an adoption fee to ensure the person who is adopting is serious.
