I am trying to stay healthy, and one of the first steps I am taking is to take a multivitamin. It's nothing fancy, just equate multivitamin supplements. Right now, I am just taking half of one(they are huge!) every night. Is that best? Is that too/not often enough? What do you do? Thanks for your help!

That's just the thing! The label doesn't say anything except nutritional facts, that's why i came here to ask.

name of multivitamin doesn't matter
take before eating
if u take before dinner it will jump start your metabolism, so if you want to burn more calories while asleep do that..
you should take one every 24 hours

It does not matter at what time of the day you eat it, as long as you eat it around the same time every day. Your body will get used to it and will absorb it better when there is a regular time you take them. As for the full/empty stomach thing, I've heard it both ways. Some say eating it on a full stomach will help absorb it better, others say the same on an empty stomach. I've asked my doc this before and she said it's up to you, but if you have a sensitive stomach, take it with food. And congrats on trying to get healthy!

If you're going to take a vitamin, then it's suggested you stay away from 'store brand' products, as they are known to contain fillers and poorer quality vitamins and minerals.
That's why they're much cheaper in some cases.
If I may suggest a vitamin, go with Centrum with minerals.
And take it in the morning as the whole idea behind them is to give your day a 'boost' that will last through the day.

I take my multi vitamin with my breakfast, I tried taking it at night but found I would become ravenous during the night and had t eat... I think taking it with a meal facilitated the absorption of the vitamins and minerals without making me hungry.
Also when taking vitamins at night I would often feel nauseated.
Hope this helps

hi. i might propose you're taking Rainbow gentle supplements. they're all organic, foodstuff-based multivitamins. they have digestive enzymes in them so as that they are mushy on your abdomen. because of the fact they're foodstuff-based, they are going to be absorbed so lots extra advantageous too. i does not take the gummy or newborn's supplements because of the fact they have too lots sugar and not the the terrific option quantity of supplements and minerals that an grownup desires. I additionally does not take supplements like: Centrum or One an afternoon. they don't seem to be all organic and that they don't seem to be sturdy high quality supplements. you will stumble on Rainbow gentle supplements in a wellbeing foodstuff shop or on the internet. sturdy success.

Take a full one with breakfast or lunch. You shouldn't take on an empty stomach.

it makes no difference what time of day it is taken. i would reccomend taking it at night with food. that way if it's going to make you nausiated you will sleep through it. to see if your brand of vitamin will be absorbed you can drop it in vinegar and see if it disolves within 45 minutes.
