I was sick earlier in the week with flu type symtoms. All of those are gone but my throat is still swollen. It doesn't really hurt but what can I do for it?

They say that this season is "more" strep throat season than flu season.

You should try to gargle with a solution of salt and warm water. Also, if you go to any pharmacy like cvs you can get a throat spray called chloraceptic. It works wonders. I would also invest in some vicks vapor rub, put it on, and wrap a towel around the area. Finally you should also get some cough drops. Hope you feel better.

Gargle with very hot water, salt and lemon. Do not swallow. Do this 3 to 4 times a day and also before you go to sleep. You will be better the next day.
